Dr Azzaam Najjaar is a plastic surgeon currently practicing at Melomed Tokai.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree (MBChB) from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2006.
He completed his Plastic Surgery training at his Alma Mata, the University of Cape Town. While a resident at UCT, he worked at the world-famous Groote Schuur Hospital, home of the world’s first successful heart transplant. Part of his training included working at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.
In 2019 he undertook the final board examination with the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and received his certification as a Fellow of Plastic Surgery (FC Plast Surg).
Dr Najjaar’s extensive training and skills motivates him to help patients to the best of his ability and provide them with care that is exceptional. His special interests lie in helping people that have suffered traumatic injuries and those that have skin cancer. In addition, he aims to help people who are interested in body contouring, as well as aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery.
